Hi there! I’m Amy Schmidthuber, the founder of The System Squad and your go-to expert for transforming spaces into beautiful, functional havens. Based in the Denver-metro area, I’m passionate about creating environments that help you feel your best—spaces that are as welcoming as they are organized. When I’m not perfecting a system, you’ll find me spoiling my rescue Doodles and enjoying the little things in life.

Originally from Minnesota, I grew up with a deep appreciation for the inviting atmosphere of the Midwest. I went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and later, a Master's of Physical Therapy at the University of Colorado Health Science Center. I spent 14 years running my own pediatric therapy business, Kids in Motion, before taking time off to raise my kids. During that time, I unlocked a passion for organization. I developed a deep understanding of creating spaces that are both functional and warm—places where people feel comfortable, connected, and at ease.

Nothing gets in her way. Amy performs miracles, she works odd hours, spends time agonizing over every little detail, and ruminates on how to improve your life through functional design.

Collaborating with The Squad since 2021, Becky merges the best of small and large interior design, tackling magazine-bound large-scale estates, vacation spots, and corporate offices in CA, CO, CT, IL, FL, MN, and TX.

This stunning Bonita Beach house remodel was brought to life by the incredibly talented Becky at Hi 5 Design Lab. Inspired by the Gulf’s ocean breeze, Becky crafted a light and airy aesthetic with a perfect mix of “old nautical meets new modern waves.”

We were thrilled to step aboard and collaborate—bringing our full-service, luxury concierge touch to finish every last corner. With Becky’s vision and our joint execution, this vacation home was turnkey-ready for a fabulous and relaxing escape. Nothing left unfinished. Bonita Springs Episode 3
For almost a week we worked around the clock, Literally blood (hands), sweat, tears fueled with lots of caffeine, very little sleep and good candy! Temporary shelving was assembled and put up in the pantry so we could stock with essentials and goodies for the owner’s visit. We missed our plane to make sure as many of the details were finished as possible before we took off! Stay tuned for our next trips to Bonita!

Bonita Springs Episode 2:
From an empty slate to a huge mess! But you have to make the mess so you can get to the amazing outcome…..behind the scenes it looks crazy, but there was a method to our madness!

We set up a makeshift store for all of our lamps and decor. We shopped from this until every room looked beautifully curated!
Almost all of the inventory was planned out for every space, but we found that some things needed to trade with other rooms. Luckily every single item found a home.

From makeshift railings to heavy mirrors and art hanging Hi 5 and The System handled it all.
